| Bio: | Name: Ariana Kendra Dumbledore Date of Birth: June 10, 1884 Brief Life History: Ariana's childhood was nothing less than spectacular, she was her daddy's girl and her brothers' baby sister! How could one NOT want that position? She had the best, her family was clever and she proved to be just as clever as they were, at least until she was six years old. On a day in June, which ironically was also the death of her mother in the future, she was practicing magic out of envy due to Albus' wand waving from earlier. She found a secluded area, tried to practice herself and eventually aroused the attention of three older muggle boys. The muggle boys were frightened and amazed, trying to force her into repeating what she did again. Their aggression of being unsatisfied led them into giving her a concussion and a few broken bones, leaving her a bleeding mess. When they realized what they did, they ran off in fear for their lives. It was Percival that went out searching for her that night and found her in the secluded area only by accident. Percival was a mixture of mad and hurt to see his only daughter so marred, he could barely get a description out of her of what happened. It wasn't long after she was healed that she began acting strangely and started talking to her stuffed animals and accidentally throwing things magically. Percival knew than that the boys needed to be taught a lesson, he went out with his wand and tortured the boys into insanity. The act alone was incriminating enough to land him in jail as known as a "Muggle-Hater" and all that. Percival wouldn't have lived long to see what his daughter had become. Ariana's preteen life was nothing short of unpredictable and a pain. Try to imagine a moody preteen girl, now imagine the same preteen girl with powers. It ain't pretty is it? Nope, not at all. She was completely loopy, she was unable to surpass her child-like immaturity and go into being a normal teenager. She started speaking to things, running around with only night clothes on(which at the time-period wasn't very sane at all.) and making friends with inanimate objects. The behavior was even worse when she couldn't control her unhappy emotions, things often broke and her family was more often injured. It seemed the only person that could settle her was Aberforth, he was understanding and gentle. This is the treatment she needed, she needed to see that someone would care about her even when she couldn't calm down. As a result of the incident, Ariana was unable to control her magical powers. During one such uncontrolled episode, an explosion resulted in the death of her mother Kendra. Aberforth continued to look after Ariana, though it made the pursuit of his education difficult. She had a close bond with her brother Aberforth, who could get her to cooperate when she wouldn't with other family members. Albus, however, rarely came to see her. It was sad, but her short life ended on the night only a month after Kendra's funeral. Aberforth and Albus fought over the strife in their family. Eventually they came to duel which also involved Gellert Grindelwald. It was during this duel that Ariana was killed. It is unclear who or what caused her accidental death, although Aberforth blamed Albus, and never forgave him. Ariana did see who the hex came from and it came from Albus, but she would never tell who did it. It hurts too much. Age and Date of Death: 14 - August 1, 1899 Manner of Death: Avada Kedvra from Albus Dumbledore In Depth Appearance: Ariana has a delicate, yet slightly round face with high cheek bones. She's actually quite pretty with light blue eyes just as her father had and the same with her siblings. She's a healthy size and weight, with a small chest and hips looking generally petite but not overly small in size as she's about 5'4". Due to the beating from the young boys that she received, she has some scarring on her body and a nasty scar on her cheek right below her eye. Personality: There isn't much to her personality, actually. She's quirky, strange and quite mad. Ariana has the ability to be sweeter than sugar or sour as a rotten lemon. Ariana is completely off her bird, she's inside her own head. She can't help it, she was kept in her family's basement and hide away from the world. She speaks in a way that sometimes doesn't make sense, talks to imaginary creatures and people. She's very float in many ways such as dancing about when she's happy, spinning and pretending she is a ballerina. Talks to people who aren't there - frequently in more coherent a manner than she talks to anyone real and visible. Terribly unfocused, and is very sensitive. Probably not the brightest crayon in the box, either. However, she's NOT stupid. She might be slow but she's not stupid. The girl is open to others, frequently pleasant and adorable. Although, she tends to be shy and reserved towards men that are NOT her brothers. These things formerly mentioned does not stop her from talking openly. She's about the sweetest girl you could ever meet until one meets her sour side. The sour side is probably the most dangerous, she's not ferocious but tends to lash out at small, tiny things. She hates to be grabbed and despises to be laughed at or called dumb. Ariana is VERY immature and in many ways can't see past her child-like reasons and logic. She's blinded by her rage and can't see anything past her nose unless Aberforth is there. She has fits, throws things and has temper tantrums that happen when something has bothered her. This part of her despises magic, she's mentally damaged due to the concussion and has never been right since. She's easily provoked and incredibly sensitive, it doesn't take much to get her going. She also has many fears: The dark, fire, mean people, most of those general things. Her greatest fear is the dark, and she imagines evil monsters when it's dark and flips. Likes: Cute things, bunnies, fish, cats, dogs and all manners of 'fluffy and cute' things. Dislikes: Fast things, wild things, scary animals and anything bloody. Strengths: Ariana doesn't have many strengths other than her magical prowess, she is also very sweet and can be caring most times. She might not always understand but she's listening. Her ability to adapt and mimic those around her are extraordinary. Weaknesses: I believe being mad is her biggest flaw, wild temper and easily spooked mind. She's also not completely sane and lives in her own imagination, it seems like a good things but it's bad in most situations. Sexuality: Heterosexual, although I don't think she cares too much on it. Sorting Questions If your character had a choice, which power would they choose to have increased? Why? She wishes she could control her magic, it scares her to be so uncontrollable sometimes. Your character is walking through an empty field, no houses or people around for miles. He/she comes across an injured man/woman/child/dog. Would they ignore them and walk on by, knowing no help will be coming for possibly hours; stop and try to help; injure/maim them further just because it seems fun; or other? Please explain. She'd walk by at first because it wouldn't click in her head for a good long minute. She'd come back and try to help. She might get upset from not knowing what to do because she has no control over her magic, possibly making the situation worse or better. Your characters enemy is at their mercy. Are they merciful? Depending on the situation, if Ariana is calm and her enemy is with her..she'd leave him alone and possibly walk away. If she has her temper out of control, the person would die. A good example of this is the fact that she killed her own mother. What is their sense of humor like? Do they have one? She has one, she's very sugary sweet and tends to be silly most of the time. Does your character have an overall sense of "right" and "wrong"? Do they live by it? I don't think she really knows the difference too much, but I believe she DOES know when she'd done wrong or did something right. Does your character side on what is right, or what is easy? I believe Ariana is on her own side that makes sense to her. She is swayed by her brother though. When it comes to fighting, is your character a pacifist? Do they fight if they have to (if it's the right thing to do)? Or do they fight out of loyalty to their friends? It depends on the fight, if she's being the butt of a joke she tends to fight aggressively. Does tragedy seem to surround your character? Yes. Does your character have one fatal weakness (Severus=Lily, Sirius=Arrogance, etc.) If so, what? Aberforth, he can get her to do anything.
